Caryn Ziettlow - Professional Developer
Caryn Ziettlow is an energetic elementary principal with 14 years of leadership and implementation experience in Nebraska assessments and standards accountability, Positive Behavior Supports (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RTI) reading program, a K-6 balanced literacy program, and coordination of special education programs at North Bend Central and Hemingford public schools. Additionally, she led school improvement programs and served as an external team member.
Dr. Ziettlow has a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; a Master of elementary administration and a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Chadron State College.
Dr. Ziettlow is liaison with North Bend Central and West Point Public Schools.
Eileen Barks - Professional Developer
Eileen Barks, M.Ed., returns to ESU2 from Millard Public Schools where she worked with principals to identify, organize and conduct personal professional growth plans for faculty and partnered with principals on building supervision, student discipline and student attendance.Earned over 17 years, her certifications include but are not limited to DIBELS Next, AIMSweb, NWEA Map, Read Naturally fluency training, Sound Partners, Stepping Stones, PALS, Direct Instruction Model, and AdvancEd Lead Evaluator. She has degrees from Arizona State University West Campus, University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Northwest Missouri State University.
Barks is liaison with Wahoo and Oakland-Craig Public Schools. Additionally, she directs the Title I Cooperative.
Kelly Georgius - Professional Developer
Kelly Georgius previously worked for Papillion-LaVista School District as an instructional facilitator, working with teachers from all content areas to improve curriculum, instruction and assessment. Prior to that, she worked for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with the NebraskaMATH grant, where she taught graduate and undergraduate courses, and researched. Initially she was an elementary and middle school teacher during a nine-year tenure with Lincoln Public Schools.
Dr. Georgius has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Studies and a Master's in Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, with an empahsis in mathematics; a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Buena Vista University.
Dr. Georgius is liaison with Cedar Bluffs, Mead, and Ashalnd-Greenwood schools.
Gary Nunnally - Professional Developer
A published author, national presenter and professional development consultant for 15 years, Gary Nunnally, Ed.D., formerly worked as an adjunct professor of education at Nebraska Wesleyan University and, initially, as a middle and high school social sciences teacher and coach.
Author of Improving Student Learning: Examining the Teacher Knowing-Doing Gap (2012), he is currently collaborating on a new book with Jane E. Pollock to help educators close the student knowing-doing gap. Dr. Nunnally has degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Doane College and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.Dr.
Dr. Nunnally is liaison with Raymond Central and Logan View.
Ashley Rasmussen - Professional Developer
Ashley Rasmussen previously worked for Elkhorn Public School District as a Chemistry and AP Chemistry teacher. During her 10 year career in Elkhorn she also served as the department chair for 9-12 science and a member of the district curriculum council representing 6-12 science. Prior to that, she worked in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Lab Science industries.
Dr. Rasmussen has a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational leadership and a Master's in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, with an emphasis in science; a Bachelor's degrees in both Secondary Education and Biological Science the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Dr. Rasmussen’s areas of expertise and interest include: Curriculum alignment, writing and revision, best instructional practices for science education, three dimensional teaching and learning, school improvement, and instructional coaching.
Dr. Rasmussen is liaison with Tekamah-Herman, Bancroft-Rosalie, and Lyons-Decatur Northeast Schools.
